Delete your account
We'll be sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your ||NAM account and your data.
Delete from inside the app
The quickest way to delete your account is directly from the ||NAM app. Removal from the live service is processed immediately, subject to the limited retention described below.
- 1 Open ||NAM and go to your Profile
- 2 Tap Settings
- 3 Scroll to the bottom and tap DELETE PROFILE, then confirm by tapping Delete Profile in the popup
- 4 Follow the on-screen confirmation steps
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer access your account or the app, you can request deletion by email. We will process your request within 30 days.
What happens when you delete your account
- Your account is removed from the live ||NAM service, and your profile is no longer visible to other users
- Your profile photo/avatar and login credentials are deleted from the active ||NAM service. Temporary residual copies may remain in encrypted provider backups until normal backup retention/rotation removes them
- Your ordinary access to messages, connections, meetups, and other account activity through the app ends — see our Privacy Policy for full details of what is deleted, de-identified, or retained
- Safety evidence — such as messages, connections, meetup records, reports, and evidence of policy violations connected to your account — may be retained in a restricted, access-limited archive for up to 7 years, to support user safety, fraud prevention, investigation of incidents or complaints, enforcement of our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and legal claims. A documented legal or safety hold may extend this where necessary and lawful. Expired, non-held evidence is automatically purged
- Limited transaction/subscription records may be retained where reasonably necessary for financial, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, disputes/chargebacks, subscription-entitlement administration, or legal-compliance purposes. These records are not used to recreate your deleted social profile
- Records held independently by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Didit, or other third-party processors are subject to those providers' own obligations and retention policies. Didit's current ||NAM verification workflow is configured with a 5-year retention period for verification data held by Didit
- Deletion of your ||NAM account from the live service is permanent and cannot be undone; the limited retained records described above do not restore or recreate your deleted social profile
Backups and provider retention
Some residual data may remain temporarily in encrypted provider backups until the provider's normal retention/rotation cycle removes it. For this page, ||NAM applies a maximum provider-controlled database-backup retention period of 7 days as its launch retention baseline. Depending on the Supabase plan actually active at a given time, the provider may retain backups for a shorter period or may not provide the same managed-backup feature. These backup copies are not used to recreate your deleted account for ordinary product use.
For full details of what ||NAM deletes, de-identifies or retains, see our Privacy Policy.
